Privacy Policy

Supapower records meetings and turns them into notes. That means we handle some of the most sensitive material you have — what was actually said in a room. This page explains, in plain terms, what we collect, where it goes, and how long we keep it.

1. Who we are

Supapower ("we", "us") provides a mobile application that records meetings, transcribes them, and generates structured notes. If you have questions about this policy, write to hello@thesupapower.com.

2. What we collect

• Account information. Your name, email address and profile photo, received from Google when you sign in. We never see or store your Google password.
• Audio recordings. The audio you record or upload in the app.
• Transcripts and notes. The text produced from your audio, including summaries, decisions and action items.
• Usage data. The number of words transcribed in a billing period, so we can apply plan limits.
• Settings. Your preferred input and output languages.

3. How your recording is processed

When you finish a recording, this is the sequence:

• The audio file is uploaded over an encrypted connection to our cloud storage, operated by Google Firebase.
• The audio is sent to Sarvam AI, our speech-to-text provider, which returns a transcript with speaker labels.
• The transcript is sent to a large language model provider to produce your structured notes.
• The transcript and notes are saved to your account. The audio file is scheduled for deletion.

These providers process your content on our instructions in order to deliver the service. We do not authorise them to use your content for their own purposes, including model training.

4. How long we keep things

• Audio: up to 12 hours. Audio exists only as a short safety net in case transcription needs to be retried. It is automatically deleted after that window.
• Transcripts and notes: until you delete them. They remain available in your account so you can read, search and export them.
• Account data: until you close your account. Deleting your account removes your profile, transcripts and notes.

5. Recording other people

This matters more than anything else on this page. Laws about recording conversations differ by country and by Indian state, and in many situations everyone being recorded must be told, or must agree, before you start.

You are responsible for having the right to record a meeting and for telling the other participants. Supapower gives you the tool; it cannot know who is in your room or what you have told them. If you are unsure, ask the participants first.

6. Who can see your content

Your transcripts and notes are private to your account. They are not shared with other users, and they are not published anywhere. We access the content of an account only where it is necessary to investigate a technical fault you have reported to us, or where the law requires it.

7. Sharing with third parties

We share data only with the service providers that make the product work:

• Google Firebase — authentication, database, file storage and server functions.
• Sarvam AI — speech-to-text transcription.
• Our language model provider — generating notes and answering questions about a meeting.
• Payment processors — if you subscribe to Pro, your payment details are handled by the payment provider, not by us. We never see your full card or UPI credentials.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Access to stored data is restricted by server-side security rules so that an account can only reach its own records. No system is perfectly secure, but we aim to hold as little as possible for as short a time as possible — which is why audio does not survive the day.

9. Your rights

You can, at any time:

• Read and export any note, as PDF or document.
• Delete an individual meeting, along with its transcript and notes.
• Delete your account and everything in it.
• Ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

10. Children

Supapower is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app.
